I created this blog so it may be the ignition, fuel or solution for my own paradoxes. It is about my life, my thoughts, my paradoxes and whatever happens to Pop-Up into my Mind.
For myself.
Therefore, you shouldn’t read this blog. Let alone follow it. I even advise you to exit it right now.
This blog is Selfish… Self-Centred… Egotistical… I could even say Narcissistic.
It is for myself and written about myself.
It is only about the things that Pop-Up into my own Mind. Things related to how I live my life, things I love, stuff I learn and all the weirdness and surrealism that happen in my daily life and make me laugh.
Now, who would be interested in reading material such as this?! Really, who?!
Besides the egotistical and narcissistic Me, of course.
And yet… well… yet, indeed… One may still ask whether my views could be of value.
Kennedy once said: “The rising tide lifts all boats.”
I love this quote and use it often in different contexts. He was referring to the economy at the time, but I believe it can be applied to so many more things, such as business, community, family and helping others.
I use it as a compass in my personal life, in my profession and in my way of living.
So, thinking about the value my publications and blog posts might offer, I revisit it here, but with a twist of my own:
“The rising tide lifts all boats… Always be a tide to others, never an anchor.”
In fact, I do hope that, among the funny, ranting, introspective, crazy, weird and chaotic blog posts I intend to leave here on My Pop-Up Mind, I will never be an anchor to others.
Well… maybe, by writing for myself, something here may also be useful to someone else.
Maybe these blog posts, originating from my daily attempts to raise my own Tide of Life, will somehow contribute at least a drop of water to help raise your own tide and boat.
Ok, maybe you should read them after all. Even if only for a moment.
Besides, I will be very happy if I contribute to your rising tide in some way. Even if the only thing you get from my posts is a random and casual laugh, I will be happy.
Because if a post does not change your Tide of Life, at least it may make your boat feel a little lighter while it makes you laugh. And that alone will make me happy.
So, maybe you should read it. Even if only for a laugh.
If this self-centred and self-rewarding blog ends up helping others and, therefore, making me happy, then I should do it more often.
And this way, I hope I will always be happy being a tide.
For myself, at least.
And maybe for others…
